Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Swingers keeps score for the games golfers play against each other. This page says what the app stores, what it never stores, and who else ever sees it.

Swingers is operated by Swingers Golf App, in Arizona, United States. If you have a question about anything here, write to support@swingersgolfapp.com.

The short version

What Swingers stores

Your account

When you sign up we store the name and @handle you choose, and whichever identifier you signed in with — an email address, a phone number, or an Apple or Google account ID. Sign-in itself is handled by our hosting provider (see Who else sees this).

If you fill them in, we also store your profile photo, cover photo, a short bio, your city, your home course, your handicap index, the playing-style tags you pick, and the days you say you are usually available.

Your golf

Rounds you play or are added to: the course, the tees, the date, every hole's score, putts where you enter them, and any side games — the format, the stake, the standings, and who ended up owing whom.

A round is shared by the people who played it. Everyone on the card can see it, and it stays on their card even if you later delete your account (see Deleting your account).

Outings you host or sign up for: the outing's name, course and date, who is in the field and which group they play in, whether an entry fee has been marked paid, contest distances, and the results and payouts. An outing's leaderboard shows the scores from its rounds to everyone in that outing, including people you have never played with. Rounds you play outside an outing are not affected.

Your social activity

Who you follow and who follows you, accounts you block, posts and comments you write, photos you upload, likes, tee times you host or are invited to, and invitations you send.

Payment handles

If you add a Venmo or Cash App username, we store it so people you have played with can see where to send you money. It is visible only to people you have shared a completed round or a finished outing with — nobody else, signed in or not.

Swingers never moves money. We do not store card numbers, bank details, or any payment credential, and we never learn whether a payment happened. When someone taps "I paid" and you tap "Confirm", the app is recording that the two of you agree — nothing more.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can send them. Turn notifications off and it stops being used.

Crash reports

When a screen fails, the app sends the error message, the stack trace, the app version and whether you are on iOS or Android, along with your account ID so we can tell whether one person is hitting the same bug repeatedly. These are used to fix the app and nothing else. They are capped at a handful per session and are not readable from inside the app by anyone, including you.

What Swingers does not store

Your contacts

If you allow contact access, the app reads phone numbers on your device only, to count how many of your contacts might already be on Swingers. Nothing is uploaded. We do not store your contacts, hashes of your contacts, or the count itself. The only thing recorded is a timestamp noting that you said yes, so we do not ask again.

You can decline, and everything else works.

Your location

If you allow location access, your approximate position is sent with a search so courses can be listed nearest-first. It is used to answer that one query and is not written down. We do not keep a location history, and we do not know where you played beyond the course you chose.

The app asks only for approximate location, never precise GPS.

Anything advertising-related

No advertising identifiers. No ad networks. No third-party analytics SDKs. Nothing that follows you into other apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal information, and there is nothing here to opt out of.

Who else sees this

Other Swingers users, according to what you choose: your profile is visible to people who find you, rounds are visible to the people you played with, an outing's field and leaderboard are visible to everyone in that outing, and posts follow the audience you pick when you post. People you block cannot see you.

Supabase, which hosts the database, files and sign-in. They store this data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for anything else.

Expo, whose push service delivers notifications. It receives the push token and the text of the notification — nothing else — and only when a notification is actually sent.

Apple or Google, if you sign in with them. They tell us you are a valid account holder; what they learn about you is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

That is the entire list. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How long it is kept

Your account and its data stay until you delete them. Crash reports are kept while they are useful for fixing the bug they describe.

Deleting your account

In the app: Me → Delete account. There is no waiting period and no undo.

What is deleted: your profile, photos, handle, bio, posts, comments, likes, follows, blocks, notification tokens, handicap history, payment handles, and any balances between you and anyone else.

What stays, and why:

If somebody owes you money, settle up first — those balances disappear for them too.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or receive a copy. Deletion is built into the app. For anything else, write to support@swingersgolfapp.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Swingers is not for children. You must be at least 18 to use it, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to support@swingersgolfapp.com and we will remove it.

Security

Data is held in an access-controlled database where every table enforces who may read each row, and photos are served through expiring links rather than public URLs. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected users promptly if something goes wrong.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
